Don’t Let Go of What God Did Tonight

Gathering Place Family & Friends,
What an incredible evening.
Tonight wasn’t about putting on an event, creating an atmosphere, or simply having another church service. Tonight was about encountering God.
And if God met you tonight—if He spoke to you, touched you, healed something, restored something, challenged you, or awakened something inside you—don’t let it go.
Hold it close.
Protect it.
Fight for it.
It’s easy to have a powerful encounter with God and then wake up tomorrow and allow everyday life to slowly drown out what happened. The worries return. The distractions return. The doubts start whispering.
Don’t let them steal what God began.
Go back to what He showed you. Write it down. Pray about it. Talk about it. Get into His Word. Tell someone what happened. And when the emotion of the moment fades, keep pursuing the God you encountered in the moment.
Remember what Paul told Timothy:
“Fan into flame the gift of God…” — 2 Timothy 1:6
A flame has to be tended.
So if something was ignited in you tonight, keep feeding the fire.
And we want you to know that tonight doesn’t have to be the end.
Gathering Place meets every Saturday night at 7:00 PM, and we would love for you to come be part of what God is building. Whether tonight was your first experience with us or you’ve been around for a while, there is a place for you here.
We’re not interested in simply having church.
We want to pursue Jesus together.
We’ll also be planning more nights like tonight and other opportunities to worship, pray, seek God, and invite our community to experience His presence. So stay connected—there is much more ahead.
But tonight, before you go to sleep, take a moment.
Remember what God did.
Remember what He said.
Remember what you felt stirring inside you.
And make a decision:
I’m not letting this go.
Hold it close. Fight for it. Fan the flame.
And keep moving toward Jesus.
We love you, and we can’t wait to see what God does next.
See you Saturday at 7:00 PM!
With love,
Russ & Lisa Gathering Place Church Seen Differently. Love God. Love People.

Eviction of the Enemy
Tonight, we did something a little different—but with a very serious purpose.
We issued a Spiritual Eviction Notice.
Not because a piece of paper has power, but because the name of Jesus does.
Together, we declared that fear, bondage, addiction, division, hopelessness, shame, and every work of darkness does not have the final word over our lives, our families, Inverness, the Highlands, or this nation.
Scripture tells us:
“For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.” — 2 Corinthians 10:4
Tonight was a declaration that Jesus has authority, strongholds can fall, chains can break, and lives can change.
But an eviction notice means something has to leave—and something else needs to take its place.
So we aren't simply saying, “darkness, get out.”
We're saying:
“Jesus, come in.”
Fill our homes. Fill our marriages. Fill our families. Fill our church. Fill Inverness. Fill the Highlands.
And may what began tonight become much more than a moment.
The eviction has been served. Now let's live like Jesus has the keys.

What if one weekend could help you see your purpose more clearly?
On September 11th & 12th, Gathering Place is hosting Chazown—a free experience designed to help you discover the unique vision and purpose God has placed within you.
Chazown helps you begin connecting the dots between your gifts, passions, experiences, personality, and values to answer a much bigger question:
“God, what did You create me to do?”
And we want to make something VERY clear:
THIS IS FOR ANYONE AND EVERYONE.
You do not have to attend Gathering Place to participate.
You may attend another church. You may be new to faith. You may have followed Jesus for decades. You may serve in ministry—or have absolutely no idea where you fit.
You are welcome.
We believe in the Capital “C” Church. Our goal isn't simply to help people find their place at Gathering Place. We want to equip people to discover their God-given purpose so they can make an impact at home, at work, in their community, in their church, and everywhere God has placed them.
So here's our challenge to our Gathering Place family:
DON'T COME ALONE.
Think about someone in your life who may be asking:
Is there more than this?
Does God really have a purpose for me?
Where do I fit?
How can God use my story?
Invite them.
Chazown begins Friday evening, September 11th, and continues through most of the day Saturday, September 12th.
There is no cost to attend. We simply ask everyone to RSVP so we can prepare.
Your life isn't an accident.
Your experiences aren't wasted.
Your gifts weren't given to you randomly.
God created you on purpose, for a purpose.
Now let's discover it.
WHAT IS YOUR CHAZOWN?
